Since it was raining today we pulled out some alphabet matching mats that I made several weeks ago. It was the first time the kids had used them and they really enjoyed them.
I printed alphabet templates and then glued each page onto a sheet of construction paper. I printed an extra of each letter to use for pattterns. At this point it would be good to laminate the mats but I haven't yet. I traced the patterns onto flannel and and cut them out. Then the kids match the flannel letters to the letters on the mats.

Great idea!! So great for a rainy day, and my kids love anything felt:)
