This Week's Outdoor Fun

We haven't been outside as much as usual this week because of the heat. But we did get out some in the mornings before it got too warm and some evenings after it cooled off a little.

Here the kids are looking at a spider.

Playing "fetch" with Roni.

One evening Amanda and I planted more beans.

One morning we found a Robin's egg shell. This was very interesting to the kids after our bird week a couple weeks ago.

After looking at the shell Hunter and Lauren tried to find the nest in the tree. I don't think they ever found it, but the spent a long time looking and talking about it together.

Playing in our outdoor play kitchen.

To see some of the other fun things we did this week check out these posts.

  5. Thanks for linking up to Outdoor Play! Looks like a great week outdoors! We have also been having shortened time outdoors lately because of the heat here. Our strategy has been the same as yours - out in the early morning and late afternoon/evening. And lots of sunscreen!

Hope we'll see you again tomorrow at this week's Outdoor Play linky.
