Our Bible Story this week at circle time is about Elijah and how his prayer to God for rain was answered after the prayers to Baal by the false prophets failed. We are also reading the poem My God is a Good God by Reggie Richardson and singing the song When We Pray For Each Other.
For our story related craft I drew raindrops on craft foam and cut them out. I then had each child draw a picture of Elijah on a piece of paper. After they drew the picture we added cotton ball clouds and the foam raindrops, to show Elijah standing in the rain that God sent in answer to his prayer.
