I was so excited when we planted our garden. After dreaming of having a garden for several years I was finally able to have one. We bought carrot, beet and pea seeds. We planted the seeds . . .and waited. And waited. And waited. I saw a few plants come up but just a very few. I'm not sure what happened but there really was very little coming up. I had followed the guidelines for when to plant. We may have planted the seeds too deep.
So this is what my garden looks like now. The green you see there are some beautiful healthy looking weeds. We do plan to plant again, possibly this weekend. We will probably plant green beans, potatoes, tomatoes, peppers and watermelon.
But we do have some beautiful flowers and ferns on our front porch that we put out last Saturday.

That reminds me of being a kid! We always had a garden except it was about 3 times bigger. I always hated having to go to the garden and pick corn or dig potatoes or pick beans! It's funny cause I miss it now! It's hard work tending to a garden but it so rewarding! :)

ReplyDeleteYour flowers are looking great...as are the weeds. We have the healthiest weeds on our country block. :-) I am trying to change that daily, though. Alot of work, but always worth it when the produce starts coming in.
