Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. ~ Thessalonians 5:11
Paul encouraged the Thessalonians to encourage each other and build each other up, and then was able to add that they were already doing this. My question, as I read this verse was whether he could say the same about me? Am I a builder or a demolitionist? I pray that as I go through each day that I will be in the business of encouraging and building up others, not of tearing down and destroying.
Oh - that we could tame our tongues and be builders. I think I tend to be one that tears down at times.
