The Walnut Acre Daily - Just a Nice Day at Home

Walking With the King
Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave You. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. ~ Colossians 3:12-14

Today's Quote
One man's daydreaming is another man's day. ~ Grey Livingston

On Our Nature Walk
Michael and I watched a bee gathering pollen . . .

. . . CJ, Cayson and Lauren played "camping" in the field . . .

. . . and this wispy, misty colored bushy type plant caught my eye. I have no idea what it is and don't recall ever seeing one like this before.

Other Outdoor Fun
We had our lunch outside at the picnic table on the porch today. I had thought maybe we would try to find another picnic spot today but then it rained so we used the front porch picnic table again.

We Are Learning
During circle time this morning we watched Bambi: Part 4

We played Memory with Woodland Animal Memory Cards.

We also did the Woodland Animals Word Cards. The woodland animals activities came from this free printable Woodland Pack at 3dinosaurs.com.

Finally we did our Kk phonics sheets

This afternoon CJ and Michael and I did quite a bit of schoolwork together.

We read one book together . . .

did math worksheets . . .

played number bingo . . .

and watched two YouTube videos.

Out and About
Other than a quick run to 7-11 for a gallon of milk I was home for the day. Doug and Austin went to a Boy Scouts meeting this evening.

Other Notes and News

CJ and Michael both seemed tired this afternoon. Michael went to sleep for over an hour. CJ never fell asleep but he watched TV quietly for a long time. And both of them went to sleep quickly this evening. I guess staying busy is wearing them out.
