Family Reunion - The Walnut Acre Daily Saturday May 30, 2015

WORDS TO LIVE BY

I will praise you, Lord, among the nations;
I will sing of you among the peoples.
For great is your love, reaching to the heavens;
your faithfulness reaches to the skies.
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
let your glory be over all the earth.
Psalm 57:9-11

TODAY'S QUOTE

Faith is courage, it is creative while despair is always destructive. ~ David S. Muzzy

OUT AND ABOUT

We spent most of our day today at a family reunion. This was a Troyer reunion which is my dad's side of the family. It was a wonderful day and it was hard to leave this evening when it was time. We caught up on family news, enjoyed music and singing, and lots of good food! It was a two hour drive for us, but it was much further for many who were there.

The kids had fun playing on the playground, squirting each other with water, eating Popsicles, and just being kids and playing together.

Family, Fun and More - The Walnut Acre Daily Thursday & Friday May 28 & 29, 2015

WORDS TO LIVE BY

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Romans 12:2

TODAY'S QUOTE

God can never be a definition. He is more than even the entirety of the dictionary. ~ Teri Guillemets

LEARNING TOGETHER

SOME OF THE RESOURCES WE USED

PLAYING TOGETHER

We walked down to the creek this evening so the kids could go wading.

OUT AND ABOUT

Thursday evening our family, my sister's family and my dad and the younger kids were invited to my cousin's for dinner and an evening of fun. There was lots of good food, conversation, laughter, horse back rides, a little basketball, Smores, and one of my cousins played guitar while we sat around the fire and sang.

I got a few photos but at this point it was starting to get dark so they aren't very clear.

It was late when we got home and we were tired but it was the kind of good tired that comes with a fun full evening like this.

Today was errand day. We started off a bit slow but once we got going we had a good day. We did our usual round of stops - library, Dollar Tree ( I got fun workbooks for the summer here), the pet store for crickets for the lizard and water conditioner for the Bettas, fast food from the drive through for lunch, and two grocery stores.

TODAY'S QUOTE

If you go, go in this peace. It makes the flowers sweeter along the path.  ~ Mike Dolan

YARD AND GARDEN

I went out this morning and got a picture of the little plants flourishing in my garden. They aren't very big yet but they are growing fast.

LEARNING TOGETHER

Michael and I were at my sister's this morning for our shared learning time.

SOME RESOURCES WE USED TODAY

We also reviewed word flashcards,did worksheets and played nutrition bingo.

PLAYING TOGETHER

I came home for a couple hours and then went back to my sister's for the afternoon. Most of the time I was there the little ones were napping but after naps and snack we went outside to play.

OUT AND ABOUT

This evening we were at church. It's hard to believe tonight was already the last night for the summer. There will still be adult choir practice on Wednesday evening but no dinner or classes. We had a fun evening in the PreK/K class that I help in. We took class outside and drew chalk pictures in the parking lot while we reviewed the things we learned about in class this year.
