We Are Learning
We spent a little time this morning working on our forest animal unit, watching one video and doing one simple math page that involved counting forest animals.

This afternoon CJ and Michael worked on some math worksheets, played sight word memory, and we read one book together.



In the Kitchen
I made a big batch of pizza breads to take along to the park for lunch today. 


Other Outdoor Fun
Wednesday is our park day this summer and the kids have really been looking forward to a morning in the park. So when I woke up this morning to rain I was dreading telling the kids we weren't going to get to go after all. But as the morning went on it looked like it might clear up so we decided to try it. It was raining when we all got in the van but by the time we got to the park it had stopped and we were able to have around two hours of fun.

. . . enjoyed a picnic lunch . . . 



. . . and then played a little more until it started to sprinkle again and it was time to come home so the little ones could take naps anyway.

Out and About
I had a meeting at church this evening with the other teachers for the Bible School class I will be helping to teach in a couple weeks. After the meeting I had choir practice. Austin had a youth meeting at church and Doug thought he had a meeting at church as well, although none of the people he thought he was meeting with showed up. So all of us except for Amanda ended up going. Doug and CJ and Michael ended up just hanging around talking to various people until I was finished with choir practice. We're so blessed to be a part of church where it's a joy to be there whether we have a specific activity going on or not. 


Other Notes and News
Today was a little easier than yesterday. I went to bed early last night and overslept this morning, but I needed the extra sleep. Then a fun outing like we had this morning was good for us too.
