Morning Musing Over Coffee - Quiet Courage

credit: Michelle Meiklejohn

Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I'll try again tomorrow.
~ Winston Churchill

Sometimes it's harder to have courage in the little things, like getting up in the morning, and giving your best, then it is to have courage in the "big" events in life. When the day has been hard and nothing has gone as planned it is hard to get up in the morning and face the same set of circumstances all over again. And to face them with a smile and grace takes even more courage. But it's in the day to day "small" acts of courage that the battle is won. It is getting up every morning and trying again that counts, even more than the progress made in a single day.

Sometimes the biggest act of courage is a small one.

  1. Such true words, that sometimes the little tigns take strong, if quiet, courage. And sometimes those things end up mattering the most.

I once read that when climbing a mountian it is not the mountain that hurts your feet but the pebble in your shoe.
