Our Backyard Birds

We've had so much fun this winter watching the birds come to this feeder in our side yard. It is easily visible from both the playroom window and one of the kitchen windows.  Micheal often asks "What's that bird's name, Mommy?"

Here are some of the birds we have seen so far. (These photos come from Birdfreak.com)

This has been one of our favorite features of this place and next winter I would like to add a couple more bird feeders to our yard.

  1. oh i LOVE bird watching! when i was in high school i went over to a friend's house. her mother apparently loved to watch birds and had lots of little houses and feeders up. i was just staring out the window watching and then commented on my love for it. the mom laughed and said, "well that COMPLETELY disproves everyone's [her kids and husband's] claims that i must be getting old because i enjoy bird watching!"
yeah... it's a beauty thing. has nothing to do with age, that's for sure!!!
