After several weeks of missing church due to an unusually large number of kids on Sunday morning (11 kids + 2 adults + 12 passenger van = staying home), or illness (I'm sure other worshippers are glad we kept our coughing at home to ourselves) we finally made it to church yesterday. We only had a total of eight kids and no one was annoyingly ill. However, the nursery workers were missing today so Doug ended up staying downstairs with the kids. But it was good to be back anyway.
2. I am so glad to see warmer weather and sunshine.
I love snow but if it's not going to snow I want sunshine. And for the it to be warm enough to go outside with the kids. I crave the sunshine, fresh air and wide open spaces. This week looks like we're going to get plenty of sunshine and warm enough weather (temperatures in the 50's and 60's) to spent lots of time outside.
3. The wind is really kicking up outside.
There is a wind advisory in effect for this area today. I love a windy, it invigorates me somehow.
4. We are having a Valentine's Day party with the kids today.
I'm sure all the candy, cards and balloons are going to make it a bit of a wild day. But I know they will enjoy it and that's what's important. Making memories with little people is so much fun. I'll have pictures up later this evening of our day.
