I have always been fascinated by American Sign Language and had a desire to learn and become fluent in this language of the hands. Several years ago I actually took a class in basic sign language. At the moment it really will not work for me to go to a class away from home but I found this site (American Sign Language University) that I am planning to use this year to increase my fluency and learn more.
My plan is to learn one lesson per week and review it at set times throughout the day as well as practice whenever possible in the course of day to day conversation.
