Singing Over Me

WORDS TO LIVE BY

"The Lord your God is with you,
    the Mighty Warrior who saves.
He will take great delight in you;
in His love He will no longer rebuke you,
but will rejoice over you with singing.”

Zephaniah 3:17

TODAY'S QUOTE

The beauty of God's love is that when you least feel worthy He loves and accepts you even more.

ON MY MIND

I'm not an alter call responding kind of person. I really prefer to have my meetings with God without an audience. But sometimes God has other ideas and I'm learning there's great blessing in paying attention when His Spirit prompts. Sunday evening was one of those times. I found myself kneeling before Him at the alter and this is the gist of what I heard.

"It doesn't matter what others think of you. Whether they love you, hate you, approve or disapprove of you, I love you. I love you and I sing over you."

And at that point I really didn't care how many eyes were watching. Because when you are loved by the King of kings nothing else matters.

HOMESCHOOL

Last year Michael's favorite game, that we played almost every day, was I Spy Memory. This year it looked like it's going to Dr. Seuss Go Fish.

OUT AND ABOUT

Austin, Amanda and Michael spent the evening at my sister's house. I told Michael we would go at 6:00 and he was in such a hurry he tried changing the to!e on the clock. I changed it back to the right time so he decided to watch it so he could tell me when it was time to go.

AND MORE

Today is Michael's birthday. He knew we weren't having his birthday party today but Amanda had his gift from her ready and wanted to give it to him now. He's been looking at cat collars at the pet store and really wanted to buy one but either never had the money or wanted something else just a little bit more. So Amanda bought him one and he lived it.

Amanda wanted me to buy one of these dish washing sponges with a handle that is also a soap dispenser. At the time I wasn't convinced it was a great buy but decided to try it anyway. And I'm so glad we did. It's so easy to use I now have each person simply bring their dirty dishes to the sink, wash and rinse them and put them in the drainer to dry. It definitely helps keep the dishes from piling up!
