In Tune With the Creator and More

WORDS TO LIVE BY

Trust in the Lord and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
Take delight in the Lord,
And He will give you the desires of your heart.
Psalm 37:3-4

TODAY'S QUOTE

Apart from God every activity is merely a passing whiff of insignificance. ~ Alfred North Whitehead

ON MY MIND

When we delight in God, when we understand and receive the fact that He resides in us as His children, our desires become the same as His desires. And this, too me, is amazing, to be in tune with the Creator of the universe.

HOMESCHOOL

SOME OF THE RESPOURCES WE USED TODAY

Austin and Amanda

We finally got to start a new book today. While we enjoyed Good Clean Murder and it had some good moral lessons it was still lighter reading than we usually have. A Draw of Kings is the third and last book in The Staff and Sword series and I'm sorry to be coming to the end of the series.

Our Scripture reading today was James 3.

AROUND THE HOUSE

I didn't do a lot of housework today. I was home a lot so just the basics got done - washing dishes, sweeping, and washing the kitchen windows on the inside. Austin washed the upstairs bathroom floor and took out the trash and Amanda picked up and vacuumed the playroom and living room.

OUT AND ABOUT

Michael and I were at my sister's for a few hours this afternoon so I could watch the kids while she ran some errands.

This evening we had our usual Wednesday evening church activities - dinner at church for all of us, children's class for Michael, youth for Austin and Amanda, helping in the PreK/K class for me, prayer meeting for Doug. Then choir practice for me.
