Lab Experiment Cookies, VBS, and More - The Walnut Acre Daily

IN THE KITCHEN

Yesterday was cookie day at Bible School. Children were invited to bring a dozen homemade cookies that were somehow representative of the theme this year. Since the theme is SonSpark labs we decided to make cookies that looked like lab experiments. Amanda helped the kids mix up the cookie dough.

After the cookies were baked and had cooled they decorated them. I simply made frosting in several different colors and they decorated them in whatever way they wanted to represent a lab experiment. 

The cookies were taken to VBS and the kitchen staff will judge them. There will be winners in each classroom and then the cookies will be eaten for snack this evening. 

YARD AND GARDEN

Austin and I have been working on pulling weeds in the garden this week. Also this morning I planted the last piece of garden. I planted watermelon, cantaloupe, pumpkins, squash and cucumbers. I planted them much later than I would have liked too but I decided late was better than not at all.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Here are some pictures from Bible School. We're having a lot of fun but it's also exhausting. Posting here will will likely continue to be a bit sporadic until next week but it's for a good reason.
