Flannel Christmas Trees

I've seen these flannel Christmas trees all over the place and knew I wanted to make some for the kids here to enjoy this year.

After our hectic day yesterday I knew I wanted to do something fun today and this was the project I chose. I cut two trees from green flannel.  I then cut out two stars for tree toppers and lots of colored circles for ornaments.

The kids loved decorating and redecorating the Christmas trees and I got the therapy I needed for free. I call that a win-win for all of us.

What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday

I thought this week I would join the fun at Stamping Ground and join in the What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday (WOYWW) fun.

I don't really have a desk I can work at, my projects are usually done wherever I can do them when I have a free moment to work on them - at the kitchen table, on the living room couch, in the playroom floor, or wherever else I might settle.

But here is the project I am working on now. I've seen various versions of quiet flannel books here and there and decided to try my hand at making some. Most of my patterns come from kids coloring pages or craft templates. A few of those, lots of flannel and my imagination are what I've used so far.

Here are few of the things I've made. I'm not finished and have many more ideas I can't wait to try. I think I'll be making a lot of these.

Flannel Easter Eggs

Using this picture from DLTK Kids I made a pattern for flannel Easter eggs for the kids to enjoy this week.  I had so much fun making these and the kids really enjoyed playing with them this morning.



We made a few Easter Egg faces.
