Morning Musing Over Coffee

"It is fatally easy to think of Christianity as something to be discussed and not as something to be experienced."
Christian Quote by - William Barclay

There is so much truth in this quote. We love Christianity as an idea, a philosophy. We love the wonderful sounding words and platitudes and often judge others by their ability produce them.

But true Christianity is hard to describe, hard to put into words. True Christianity, when experienced, is so much more than ideas and fancy words. It is a way of life, a part of our very fiber, something we walk, breathe and even sleep on a daily basis. True Christianity gives strength in times of weakness, love when love is hard and comfort to the comfortless. True Christianity has nothing to do with me sounding good and everything with allowing His good to flow through me. It has nothing do with looking good so that others can say good things about me and everything to do with bringing glory to God.

Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God. Philippians 1:11
