We had a lot more children today than we did yesterday - thirteen total compared to yesterday's six. That's one thing I love about what we do here - no two days are alike. The cast of characters is very different from day to day and it keeps things interesting.

Here are some pictures of some of the things we did today.

I ordered two things recently from Amazon with my earnings from Swagbucks and Opinion Outpost. I was happy when Doug came home from work today and brought them with him. He had made a stop at the post office and they were there.

The first item was volumne 2 of

The Story of the World: History for the Classical Child by Susan Wise Bauer. This volumne covers the Middle Ages. We just finished the first volumne covering ancient history and really enjoyed it so we're excited to start reading this book tonight.

The second item was a CD for the little kids called 30 Bible Songs and 30 Bible Stories. We haven't listened to it yet but I'm planning to use it tomorrow during quiet time.

Michael did not sleep well at all last night so I've been dragging all day. Now the little ones are asleep and after I read with Austin and Amanda I am looking forward (hopefully) to a good nights sleep.

Daycare Schedule for Month of February

7:00 - Quiet time with books and music and as kids come in and overnighters begin to wake up
8:00 - Overnighters (and those who came very early in pjs) dress, put away
8:20 - Breakfast
8:40 - Color at kitchen table or help with kitchen clean up
9:00 - Circle time and Bingo or Memory Match Game (Wednesday mornings Cooking with the Kids)
9:30 - Snack - This if fairly close to breakfast time but at this point some kids have come in who may or may not have had breakfast, so we have a snack just to make sure everyone is okay until lunch time.
9:45 - Free play in playroom or craft items (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) or playdough (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday) at kitchen table - Play options in playroom include - dolls, Little People Playset, Megablocks, puzzles, puppets, flannel playsets, mosaic pattern boards, lacing cards and buttons, Gears building set, play animals, cars and trucks, wooden building blocks and books.
10:45 - Outdoor play if weather permits. In inclement weather we will do the Alphabet Exercise Cards and then return to free play.
11:30 - Quiet Time with Books and Music (during quiet times kids take turns washing for meals or getting ready for nap and bedtime, I change diapers)
11:45 - Lunch
12:15  - Color at kitchen table
12:30 - Quiet time with books and music
12:45 - Story Time
1:00 - Naptime
2:30 - Wake Up, Snack
3:00 - Outdoor Play if weather permits. In inclement weather we will do the Alphabet Exercise Cards and then free play. (free play options see above)
5:00 - Quiet time with books and music
5:15 - Dinner
5:45 - Free Play (free play options see above)
6:30 - Circle time and Bingo or Memory Match game
7:00 - Color at kitchen table
7:15 - Snack
7:30 - Quiet time with books and music
7:45 - Story time
8:00 - Bedtime
